In my career of managing hundreds of direct-to-consumer campaigns, my focus has always been on the message. My guiding principle is this: You can have the best looking most stylish creative in the world, market-leading products or services, and knock-down prices and propositions. But if you’re talking to the wrong customer at the wrong time with the wrong message, you are wasting your time, effort and - most of all - marketing budget.
I started out as a copywriter and I’ve come full circle, because crafting marketing messages and stories is what I know best and what I’m good at. I’ve written hundreds of online articles for websites, blogs, product pages, social media and emails, all designed around SEO with keywords and long-tail phrases, links, tags and anchors.
